The Uruguayan was relieved of his duties in 2009 after being employed by the national football body for three seasons. #Patel said the Fiji FA board of control agreed that Buzzetti was the best candidate to take up the post. #“Carlos Buzzetti has been reinstated as the Fiji FA national coaching director,” Patel confirmed. #“As many already know, Carlos in the past was employed by Fiji FA but due to some uncertain events he was relieved but from my point of view we need a man of his caliber back to steer us in the right direction. #“My board felt the same way and supported me hundred percent in the decision to reinstate Buzzetti as the new national coaching director. A lot of work had been done by him during his time with Fiji FA and we had performed well under his guidance which was evident with the ranking and development of coaches. #“If we want to see continuity and Fiji FA head in the right direction with Buzzetti knowing the islands and the game of football well is the best person.”#The Fiji FA President said Buzzetti will be based in Ba and is expected to begin work soon as heavy commitments are line-up up for next season. #“We have reached an understanding with Buzzetti and he is coming back to Fiji.
