Greetings to all!#This past week has been a very busy one indeed for me. I was away in New Zealand to attend a FIFA /Oceania Football Confederation seminar which turned out to be a fruitful and a positive one for Fiji Football Association. # I with the support from my board have also reached a decision which is stated below. #Buzzetti reinstated#Juan Carlos Buzzetti has been reinstated as the Fiji FA coaching director. As many already know, Carlos in the past was employed by Fiji FA but due to some uncertain events he was relieved but from my point of view we need a man of his caliber back to steer us in the right director. #My board felt the same way and supported me hundred percent in the decision to reinstate Carlos Buzzetti as the new national coaching director. #We have reached an understanding with him and he is coming back to Fiji. Under Carlos a lot of work had been done in Fiji FA and we had performed well under his guidance which was evident with the ranking and coach development. If we want to see continuity and Fiji FA head in the right direction just Carlos knowing the islands and the game of football well is the best person. #He is ready to come to Fiji it is just up to us to get his logistics right before he makes his return. #O-League #My best wishes goes towards the Ba side as they prepare for a crucial encounter against New Zealand based Waitakere as they face a must win situation if they are to progress. Last weekend while in NZ I did the closing for a TIV Sangam and later the opening for a Sanatan tournament. In my address I urged the former Fiji residents to come out in numbers and support Ba this Sunday as they are repsenting Fiji. Any support will go down a long way in helping our Ba side excel. #FIFA meeting#Last week I travelled with Fiji FA chief executive officer Bob Kumar and technical director Farouk Janeman to attend a three day FIFA/OFC seminar in Auckland, New Zealand. #It was a very good meeting with FIFA reps that came from Zurich, FIFA member association’s development manager and technical director.#I believe it was a fruitful discussion for all the 11 Oceania member countries and news that more funding is coming towards us in specialized areas that the island nation needs. #Marketing, communications, IT, club development, finance, management, social responsibility, event management and infrastructure are some of the key areas which were looked at. I think with this new initiative this is a right step forward for Fiji FA. # #
