More than 30 players attended the trials and showed a lot of commitment. In a short span of time we had to finalize the team but as the National U-17 coach I have full faith that these players can perform at the playoffs,” Sahib said. #The side departs for NZ on December 28th and will play few warm up matches gearing up for the playoffs. #Head of the Fiji U-17 contingent and youth director, Rajesh Patel elaborated further.#“The whole point of the side departing early is to acclimatize to the NZ conditions. They will be playing some warm up matches against quality clubs and this will give a chance to the coaches to work on the combinations. #“The side was assembled late due to the exams but I believe the coaches have done a good job with the time they have had.
