Fiji FA chief executive officer Bob Kumar elaborated further on the appointments. #He says Savusavu-based school teacher Finau Vulivuli has been named in the panel of referees for the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Germany.#Trio Andrew Achari, Ravinesh and Ashwin Kumar will officiate at the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup in Mexico.#Kumar says the news was a proud one for the national football body.#“This is indeed great news for Fiji FA. Four of our local referees selected to officiate at the highest level goes on to show that we have very capable people who can do the job. On behalf of Fiji FA family and President Dr. Muhammed Shams-UD-Dean Sahu Khan I would to wish this referees all the best and hope they make the country proud.” Kumar said.#The Fiji FA CEO encouraged other young referees in the lot waiting for their break should not lose focus.#“This sort of appointment which sees four of our referees in the FIFA event will now no doubt open doors for other local referees in the country.
