Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel said it would be wise for all religious organisation to cancel it as far as football is concerned.#“Fiji Football believes that the natural disaster has caused a lot of disruption in people’s life, people have lost their life or their loved ones, people have lost their belongings and some have lost their houses.”#Patel said we understand that it would take time for people to recover from the damages that have been done, which in fact is beyond anyone’s control.#“Most players and officials have been badly affected so I humbly request the religious organisations to postpone their tournaments. #Patel said they are not sure if Fiji FA would be able to provide referees during that period.#“We will have to check with our Referees Association if they are available but as far as I know most referees, players and officials have been affected.”#Patel said Government has also declared a State of Emergency for 30-days and we believe that Fiji FA shall play its part in rebuilding the nation.#“Our hearts go out to the people of Fiji who are rebuilding and recovering in the aftermath of Tropical Cyclone Winston,” he added.#
