Demotion for bottom two

This was decided during the Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) Council meeting last Sunday at the Fiji Association #Fiji FA President Dr. Muhammed Shams-UD-Dean Sahu Khan confirmed the decision. He stressed that only eight teams will be part of the Super Premier Division in 2011. #“We have decided in the council meeting that from this year the two bottom teams in the Super Premier division will be relegated to the premier division,” he said.#Dr. Sahu Khan revealed that competition will be played in three different divisions next season. #“The automatic demotion of two Super Premier teams will increase the premier division to 15 teams next year which will make it difficult for us to complete the league. So we have created three divisions next year which will be the Super Premier, Premier and Senior Division. #“Super Premier and Premier will have eight teams while the senior division will accommodate seven,” Dr. Sahu Khan said. #The Fiji FA President also says that the promotion regulation playoffs will come into effect next season. #“There will be promotion relegation playoffs next year. The Premier division winner will face the last place team from the Super Premier division. Likewise senior division winner and the last place finisher of the Premier Division,” Dr. Sahu Khan said. #
