Kumar will be part the Oceania region trio which is made up of Peter O’Leary and assistant referee Jan-Hendrick Hintz (New Zealand).#The local referee will be making his second appearance at the FIFA Club World following a good outing in last year’s event. #The Club World Cup takes place in Japan from December 6 to 16 with officials being nominated from FIFA’s five other confederations – AFC, CAF, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL and UEFA – as well as a support trio from Iran.#The selected match officials will preside over eight games in the seven-team tournament, which will see the champions of each confederation fight it out to be crowned the best club side on the planet.#The upcoming involvement of O’Leary, Hintz and Kumar in Japan 2012 is the latest positive result of OFC’s Refereeing Assistance Programme (RAP).#OFC places great importance on developing world-class referees and this has been strongly supported by FIFA through its funding of the programme.#2011-2012 O-League champions Auckland City will be OFC representatives at next month’s FIFA Club World Cup in Japan.#Kumar became the first Fijian to officiate at the event last year and also the London Olympics games earlier this year. #He also stands a good chance of being Fiji’s first to officiate at the FIFA senior men’s World Cup in 2014. # Fiji FA MEDIA
