This comes as the Western-based giants claimed their second consecutive victory in a row when they beat Labasa 2-0 in the opening match of day two at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
On the other hand defending champions Rewa faced a major blow towards their campaign as they were upset 3-1 by Suva.
Ba tops the standings after two wins with six points while Rewa and Suva are locked with 3 each after a win and a loss each. Labasa conceding two losses is at the bottom.
Ba only needs a draw now to be crowned the 2012 Champions League winners. Suva needs to a good win with a good goal margin over Labasa in the opening match today and later hope for Rewa to upset Ba.
Day two of the Pillay Garments Champions League saw a poor crowd turnout in Nausori. Ground conditions provided difficult situations but the participating teams adapted well to the conditions and displayed entertaining football.
Missing several other key players like Taione Kerevanua, Ilisoni Logaivou and Amani Makoe the young Labasa side braved the storm in the first half as both sides went into the shed 0-0.
Two second half goals first by Manueli Kalou and then later Avinesh Waran Suwamy guided Ba.
A close 0-1 loss in the opening day, Suva was not ready to throw the towel just yet. The Gurjit Singh coached side entered the match with a positive mindset. After a goaless first spell Joseph Mishra broke the deadlock on the 50th minute to shock the Rewa side.
Rewa showed their class and fought back equalise and fifteen minutes before the final whistle Misaele Draunibaka leveled.
Just as it seemed that the match was heading for a draw, substitute Archie Watkins scored Suva’s second goal and later Malalaki Touvoga got the third during the added time.
The final day of competition kicks off this afternoon with Suva taking on Labasa at 1pm and later Ba takes on Rewa 3pm.
