New appointments announced

Rajesh Patel, the Fiji FA President announced that Farouk Janeman has been reinstated as the Technical Director while development officer Hussain Sahib is taking up the role of deputy technical director. #Patel, is optimistic the former national reps have the knowledge and experience to steer the development of football in the right direction. #The duo since their retirement from the local and international stage have been involved in coaching and football development. #“Farouk Janeman has been reinstated as the technical director,” Patel said. #“Janeman is a very capable person and carries with him a lot of experience and knowledge from a player and coach to take football to greater heights in Fiji. He is the best person at the moment to guide the technical department. #“Janeman has been employed by Fiji FA in the past. We have spent a lot of money, resources on him and it is time for us to utilse him. Hussain Sahib on the other hand will be assisting Janeman.” # The duo on the other hand will prepare a development plan which is to be presented at the Fiji FA board of control meeting this Saturday in Ba. # “The technical department has been asked to prepare a plan. I have had a meeting with the director and stressed the key areas which we seriously need to look at.”#Patel, said Janeman will be based at the National Academy in Ba. The busy 2012 season is in line for the Fiji FA technical department as the Men’s Under-23 and Women’s national #side will be participating in the Olympic playoffs. #The senior men’s side will be in action during the 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. # Fiji FA MEDIA
