Vodafone Fiji Ltd, in conjunction with Fiji Football Association, is delighted to present the VODAFONE FIJI FACT, 2012. The tournament kick starts in Lautoka on May 6th with the first round of matches and then moves on to Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori from 10 to 13 May.
Being the first major Soccer Event in the Fiji FA Calendar, Vodafone Fiji FACT sets the bench mark for other Fiji FA events. The people of Fiji particularly in the west have gone a through a lot in the recent months. I am pleased to say that Vodafone was at the forefront of relief and rehabilitation efforts to help our people get back to their normal lives again.
On the sports front, Vodafone has always been staunch supporter of sports in Fiji. We have proud record of memorable association and triumphs with many sports over the years.
This is our fourth year in succession and second term of three (3) year partnership with Fiji Football Association. We are deeply committed to fostering good sportsmanship and healthy living in Fiji, and we do so through a combination of sponsorships and charitable support that brings about healthy living and active lifestyles.
Our Sponsorship of Vodafone Fiji FACT began in 2009. Every year we give a fresh look and feel to the event by giving it an international standard branding to set the stage for the 5 day event. This year will be no different. We also launched a joint txt promotion where our subscribers had a chance to win tournament tickets, soccer balls, Blackberry storms , webboxes and other interesting prizes. We will also be giving away great prizes at the grounds during the tournament and there will be special promotional deals for spectators on the ground.
I would like to congratulate Fiji FA for their part in organizing this soccer feast for soccer lovers in the country. The Vodafone FACT is set to provide high quality competitive soccer for the fans to enjoy over two weekends. With ten premier teams participating again this year over two weekends and two hosting municipalities, I am confident that the VODAFONE FIJI FACT will continue to be one of the major sports events in Fiji attracting not just local soccer lovers, but audiences from all over the world through live broadcast
and web streaming.
