Bolaitoga cleared

Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) chief executive officer Bob Kumar said the former Hekari United club star was not permitted to leave the country with the national men’s squad on Wednesday due to some pending maintenance matter. #But Kumar, today confirmed that Bolaitoga has now been cleared and will depart for New Caledonia on September 3. #National team director Anil Sharma, said Bolaitoga will miss our first match against Tahiti this Saturday 4pm, later against Kiribati and highly likely against Cook Islands. #The current Labasa rep will join the side just in time for the crunch clash against Papua New Guinea. #“Pita Bolaitioga has now been cleared to travel to the Pacific Games,” Sharma said. #“The idea was for him to travel as soon as possible but there are no seats available with the next batch of athletes. Pita will now fly out on September 3 and will be available for the match against PNG.”#Both the national senior men’s and women’s side departed the country yesterday. The Fiji men’s side plays their opening match this Saturday 4pm against Tahiti while the women’s side will be in action next week. #Men’s Fixtures #27/08/11 4pm Fiji-Tahiti Nui Stade Boewa, Boulari #30/08/11 11am Fiji-Kiribati Stade Boewa, Boulari#03/09/11 4pm Cook Islands-Fiji Stade Boewa, Boulari #05/09/11 4pm Papua New Guinea-Fiji Stade Boewa, Boulari #Semi Finals #07/09/11 4pm Stade Yoshida, Koné #07/09/11 4pm Stade Hnasse, Lifou #3/4 Playoff #09/09/11 4pm Stade Boewa, Boulari #Final #09/09/11 9pm Stade Numa Daly, Nouméa# # Fiji FA MEDIA # #
