This was the first championship played at the new futsal court since its inauguration by Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Win in Oceania Senior Project Manager Vairani Davio last month.
National Football Academy manager and tournament official Chandra Segran says the one day championship was a success.
“The championship was a major success. Around ten teams participated and a good crowd turned out to witness this futsal championship. Players were at the best and entertained the crowd,” Segran said.
He says there were plans to run a Ba futsal league next year.
“We plan to organize a futsal league next year and there has been interest shown by individuals to sponsor the league,” Segran said.
“Having a regular competition will give us a chance to help in the development of futsal”.
