With two wins in the competition so far, Suva is now with six points after a 2-1 victory over Navua during the first round and Sunday’s 3-1 result against Tavua at the TFL National Stadium. #Despite the recent success Gurjit Singh, the Suva head coach believes they must not get ahead of themselves just yet. #“We still have a very long way to go. A lot of matches are still ahead of us and we plan to approach match as it comes and we hope to improve every week,” Singh said. #Tavua president Shalendra Roy said they were unfortunate to lose their top spot as far as the standings were concerned. #“Fatigue caught up in the last 15 minutes and Suva scored two goals. Stylish midfielder Malakai Tiwa scored a goal in each half as the defending league champions are back on track. #Nadi on the other hand edged out Lautoka 1-0 at Churchill Park during another match. First half goal by lethal striker Ratu Veresa Toma turned out to be the match winning one.
