Tora leads Fiji Women

National Women’s mentor Ramesh Sharma says Tora who was part of the historic Women’s side which won Fiji’s first ever medal at the 2007 Pacific Games in Samoa, is an inspiration to her fellow team mates.#32-year old Nadi based midfielder Tora will be assisted by another veteran Unaisi Vatulili who has been named the Vice Captain. #“Kini Tora will be the Captain for the side while Unaisi will be assisting her. For Kini the other players have respect for her and at the same time she has very good leadership qualities. That is why we have decided that she was best candidate to lead the National Women’s side,” Sharma said.#Fiji plays their opening match at the OFC Women’s Nations Cup against arch rivals Papua New Guinea next week Thursday 1pm. #With just a few days to go, Sharma believes they plan not to leave any stones unturned. # #“We will be trying outing the final points, finishing and balling distribution. The National side still has a few days which we need to utilize,” he said. #
