Rajesh Patel the Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) Youth Director revealed. He believes an experienced coach like Sahib is the best candidate for the top post. #The Youth Director who is also the Fiji FA western Vice President says Tavua coach Kamal Suwamy and Ba’s Ravinesh Kumar will be assisting Sahib. #“I can confirm that Hussein Sahib has been confirmed the National U-17 coach. Hussein will be assisted by Kamal Suwamy and Ravinesh Kumar,” Patel said.#“We required an experienced person for the job and Hussein is the best candidate. His experience as a National rep and coaching background will make him a fatherly figure for the players. He has been through the ups and down in football and knows what to expect.”#Sahib recently guided the National Futsal side to a second place finish during the 2010 OFC Futsal Championships. Highlight of Sahib’s career was being part of the National side in 1977 which beat Australia. #The National U-17 side will participate at the 2011 Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) U-17 play offs in New Zealand which is scheduled to be played from January 8 to 18 at Douglas Field Trust Stadium in New Zealand. #Patel says preparation will resume within the next few weeks. #“I believe we have selected a very strong squad.
