Dewan Chand, the Fiji Football Association vice president and referees committee chairman said the referees earned their spot in the panel. #“All the interested referees had to attend a fitness test to be considered in the panel. Fitness test was held in the Southern, Western and Northern division. I have received a very positive feedback from the tests and I’m sure the selected individuals will do well at the Inkk Mobile BOG,” Chand said. #On the other hand Chand, said that originally 19 referees had been selected for the panel but later Tailevu Naitasiri’s Mohammed Aktar was axed from the panel. #“I can confirm that Mohd Aktar has been dropped from the panel. We have found out that he has not been officiating in the club games. Based on the reports we have received, some referees still are not doing club games,” he said. #The referee’s committee chairman urges the districts to fully utlise the services of referee’s inspectors in their respective district. #“Referees director Chandra Segran, Paresh Kishore, Intaz Shah be visiting districts in the Western division, Balram Nair and Shalen Kumar the Southern and Muskesh Chand for the Northern. I urge the districts to make use of these inspectors to be aware of the various laws of the game as they prepare to participate in the Inkk Mobile BOG,” Dewan said. #Referees Panel #1.
