#The Delta Tigers proved indeed that they are back to their usual form winning their second major tournament in a row. Earlier this year the Airpro Services sponsored Rewa side won the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament. #Backed strongly by their fans Rewa found themselves up 2-0 within the first twenty minutes of the first spell thanks to goals by Solomon Islander Abraham Iniga and Epeli Saukuru.#Lautoka replied within minutes through Jone Vono Junior following a blunder by Rewa’s defence.#Rewa started the second half just as they did the first and Iniga struck again in the 48th minute for Rewa’s third. The third goal proved the difference which seems to end Lautoka’s fight. #Rewa President Pranil Singh says his players deserve all the credit for the victory. #“All the players knew what to expect from the 2010 Courts IDC and they delivered it. The boys were committed from day one and discipline was the key factor in winning this tournament,” he said. #Rewa coach Manoj Kumar revealed the secret to the famous victory at the Courts IDC which came after nine long years.#“I had told the boys before the final that Lautoka was going to be tough and the plan was to work on the counter attack in the first spell. We were defending a lot in the first spell but we took few options that saw us score.#“In the second spell we changed the strategy where we opted to hold the ball as Lautoka was playing catch up football,” Kumar said. #Rewa last won the Courts IDC back in 2001 at the same venue.#Meanwhile Rewa skipper Simione Tamanisau was named the best player of the tournament. Iniga was rewarded with the golden boot scoring a total of six goals in the tournament.
