The General Machinery Hire Ltd Ba Under-21 side maintained their unbeaten run in the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football Under 21 league following a 3-1 victory over Lautoka last Sunday at Churchill Park. #Ba Football Association vice president/ U21 team manager Mohammed Ashwak said the win was a perfect outcome for their side which faced various obstacles in the build up to the clash. #“We had only three days to gather the boys to train as after the floods all our boys were out of touch and some were out participating in the Coco Cola games. We also had problems finding a suitable ground for training,” he said. #The Ba U21 side commonly known as the “Boys in Black put up a strong performance in the second spell which changed the course of the match against Lautoka. #“Lautoka were a good side which played well and gave a good run to our boys but we had to maintain our winning record so the boys pulled their socks after a 1-1 draw in 1st half and our coach Sheik Azid gave some tactical points after reading the Lautoka sides 1st half match. #“Later our boys managed to work on the advice. We had to win for our fans and families of these boys out at home.
