Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bob Kumar says around $80,000.00 has been spent so far in the National Women’s squad’s preparation which started in January this year.#He added the participation was also part of Fiji FA’s plans to develop the National Womens side for future international competition like the 2011 Pacific Games in New Caledonia.# #“Fiji FA is committed in developing Women’s football. We have set aside a budget for the senior Womens squad which will be participating in the 2010 OFC Womens Nations Cup in NZ that we believe will provide good exposure to the player. Fiji FA will do everything within their powers to see football develop in the country.#“The preparation and the Nations Cup is also part of Fiji FA’s plan to build up the National Womens squad for the 2011 Pacific Games,” Kumar said. #The Fiji FA CEO added that the current 26-member National Women’s squad with four officials has been full time to camp in since August.#The 2010 OFC Women’s Nations Cup will be held from September 29 to October 8 at the North Harbour Stadium in Auckland, NZ. The overall winner of the Nations Cup will earn the right to represent the Oceania region in the 2011 FIFA Womens World Cup in Germany. #Fiji FA Technical Director Saiyad Ali says they were looking forward to a good outing at the 2010 OFC Womens Nations Cup. #“We are looking forward to the Nations Cup and it will be a major challenge for us.
