Yassir heads “Just Play”

He will work closely with the Fiji FA technical department to see this programme reach throughout the country. #Janif attended an instructor course organised by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) earlier this year along with regional association’s managers where he was briefed on the role and task he needs to carries out. #Speaking to Fiji Football News the Fiji “Just Play” Project Manager said he was ready to take up the challenge. #“I would like to thank Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) for this opportunity and having faith in me to manage the “Just Play Programme”,” he said.#“This job will be a challenging one for me and I’m looking forward to the task which lies ahead of me.”#The Fiji FA “Just Play” Project Manager revealed his immediate plans.#“The first task is to train coaches, teachers and volunteers educate them about the programme. Then they will become instructors and carry out the programme in their schools or communities. #“Fiji FA under the “Just Play” programme will provide the instructors with equipments such as balls, cones, bibs etc. Then the task for me will be to monitor the progress.”#Janif says the programme has already been introduced in the Nausori and Suva zones.#“We have managed to successfully launch the programme in the Suva and Nausori schools. In the next few weeks we will be targeting other zones. #“The main objectives of the programme are use football as a tool to promote healthy living. To let as many children as possible play football, interact with others, share human values, and, most importantly, have fun playing football.
