5′ New Zealand have four corners in quick succession but Fiji eventually clear the ball
7′ Akram Hussain sets off on a dangerous run down the left but his cross is intercepted
9′ A good spell of possession for Fiji in their attacking third but Hussain eventually commits a foul and New Zealand have a chance to clear
10′ There is a break in play as Fiji defender Arkam Hussain is treated for an injury
11′ Nice play by Fiji’s Akram Hussain who gets into the box but New Zealand defend well to stop the shot
15′ It’s an even contest so far with both teams enjoying a share of possession. New Zealand however are enjoying better territory with a strong wind behind them

19′ Al-taaf Sahib slides a nice ball through the middle for Sheik but it just runs through for New Zealand goalkeeper Scott Basalaj to collect
23′ Tim Payne puts a low cross in for Yamamoto whose shot is tapped around the post for a corner
24′ Luke Adams gets his head to the corner but Fiji clear and set off on a counter attack. Kumar almost gets the ball through for Hussain down the other end but again the New Zealand goalkeeper is able collect
26′ Rhys Jordan takes two quick corners for New Zealand but the second one floats out for a goalkick
27′ New Zealand’s Tim Payne has the best chance of the game so far after Yamamoto did well to held off a defender in the box and set up the midfielder but Payne’s shot from the penalty spot flies wide
29′ Another great chance for New Zealand with Luke Adams heading Rhys Jordan’s freekick onto the crossbar. Yamamoto was inches away from heading in the rebound but finally it is cleared by Fiji for a corner
30′ New Zealand’s corner comes to nothing and Fiji have a chance to settle
33′ More attacking play from the Young All Whites as Cameron Howieson plays a nice ball through to Yamamoto who is fouled on the edge of the box
