Defending champions Ba were held to a 0-0 draw by Tavua in their opening match of the 2011 Vodafone Fiji FACT this afternoon at Churchill Park in Lautoka. #Their president Rishi Kumar says they need to work hard against Rewa tomorrow. #“We have three other games remaining and the boys need to pull up their socks. We did not function well in the mid field as we missed Avinesh Waran Suwamy and Kiniviliame Naika,” Kumar said.# #On paper Ba was favourite to topple their opponents but Tavua put on a good show to deny the defending champions.#Tavua coach Kamal Suwamy says the result was a positive one to boost their campaign at the Vodafone Fiji FACT.# #“I think the 0-0 result is a positive one for us. We are a very young side and due to financial problems the boys were not able to camp together earlier in the year. But for the Fiji FACT the boys got together and trained together and I think in time to come Tavua will be a side to reckon with,” Suwamy said. #Tavua has a bye tomorrow and will be in action on Saturday when they play two matches. At 11.45am they face Rewa and later 6pm they battle Labasa.# #Suwamy says the target will be on their next opponents. #“We are in a tough pool and got some very tough matches coming up. We will set up a game plan for our other opponents and look forward to a positive outing,” he said. #Ba: 1. Ratu Jone Gasaubalavu (GK), 3. Daniel Krishneel, 4. Manueli Kalou, 5. Ronil Kumar, 6.
