Rewa clubs Raymond Sports and Lokia United both topped their respective pools and are expected to be out in full force to win on their home turf. #In the first semifinal tomorrow morning (Sunday December 4, 2011) at 9.30am pool one winner Raymond’s Sports Club will take on pool two runners up All Whites of Lami.#Later at 10.45am Lokia United battles Combine Brothers club of Suva. The grand final is scheduled to be played at 3.30pm. #Raymonds made a strong start to their campaign as a hat trick of goals by Rewa star Lorima Dau and later Ashish Narayan saw them claim a comfortable 4-0 victory over Combine Brothers. They later edged out Lokia Sports 1-0 to top pool one. #A 1-0 victory over Lokia Sports thanks to a Rajit Sen goal was all it took for Combine Brothers of Suva to join Raymond’s from pool one in the semifinals. #Lokia United on the other hand had a tough outing on day two of the NCC as they were taken right down to the wire by a determined premier division club All Whites outfit but in the end walked out pleased with a point from the match. The Rewa club later beat Police 4-0 to top pool two. #All Whites in their last encounter picked up a close 1-0 win over to Chelsea Sports which will see them face Raymond’s in the first semifinal today. Finishing equal with seven points as Lokia United on the standings All Whites lacked in goal differential. #Amitesh Pal, the match co-ordinator said exciting clashes were the order of the day. #“It was indeed a very interesting second day. Teams were very competitive as they knew that a semifinal spot was at stake.
