The Nausori- based side last weekend beat Puma Dreketi 6-1 in the first leg and later drew 4-4 a day later to scoop the 2011 Fiji Sun/Weet-Bix Premier Division title.
A motion of adding two more districts to the Super Premier Division was passed during the annual Fiji FA congress last month.
Saturday’s meeting which will be held at the National Academy is set to discuss the mechanism of how the 12-team format is going to work next season.
Bob Kumar, the Fiji FA chief executive officer said that Tailevu Naitasiri will earn a spot in the Super Premier division if the 12-team format was given a thumps up at the council meeting.
He also said they might adapt back to the old promotion/relegation format if district delegates decide to defer the new format to the 2013 season.
“It was passed at the Fiji FA congress to have 12 teams in the Super Premier division next season. Tailevu Naitasiri being the 2011 Premier division champions will no doubt get a spot if the format is adopted for the 2012 season.
“The council meeting this Saturday will discuss on how best we will accommodate a 12-team competition but few districts have asked to defer the format to 2013 and if the delegates agree then we will have to go back to the promotion/relegation series for this season.
“But if the council decides that they no longer support the 12-team format then Fiji FA will have to call a special congress to amend the motion,” Kumar said.
Meanwhile it was all smiles for the Tailevu Naitasiri Football Association as they regained the prestigious premier division silverware after missing out last season.
Their president Sundeep Roy said the hard work put in by the players and team management saw them come out on top.
