Fiji FA approves King Irving Cup clash

Bob Kumar, the Fiji FA chief executive officer said both districts sent a letter to the national headquarters seeking approval.
Rewa hosts Suva this Sunday 3pm at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
Nilay Singh the Rewa FA secretary said with the postponement of the Fiji Sun GP Batteries National Football League yet again this weekend this provided an ideal opportunity for them.
“In the absence of the League competition this weekend, Rewa has agreed to have the first match of the King Irving Cup challenge against Suva,” he said.
Both sides are preparing for the new league season which is highly likely to kick off next weekend.
Rewa will look to bounce back and get back on track after a poor outing at the recent Pillay Garments Champions League.
