“The Ba-Nasinu match of course was abandoned and we then had a proper inquiry done by a committee. They came out with a decision and recommendation. The findings made it clear that Nasinu had planned for this game to be abandoned. Eventually it was found that Nasinu was at fault. Accordingly five players that were injured in the match played club games in Nasinu the next day. Nasinu will now have to pay a mandatory fine of $5000.00 and the President, Manager and Coach appear before the Disciplinary committee while Ba will retain the three goals.
Puma Labasa- Bic Power Electric Suva (Protest Disallowed)
“There was a protest from Labasa against Suva for registering a fourth overseas player. In our constitution you can have only three overseas players. Suva had four but they had withdrawn the fourth before the match.
Energizer 4R Electrical Ba- Royal Tea Nadi (Ba awarded protest)
“Nadi had played a player who was in a Ba club before for some time. Nadi registered the player and played him and then of course that was invalid because he did not get his release.
Sunquick Sigatoka Motor Spares Nadroga-Kit Kat Southern Forest Navua (Nadroga protest disallowed)
There was a protest from Nadroga against Navua for a player who was indeed valid to play.
Kasim new Fiji FA Referees President
Nomination signed for Mahen Singh was invalid because a member who had signed was not a member of the Lautoka Football Referee Association. The third candidate had withdrawn his nomination. So there was Mahen Singh and the second one was Mohammed Kasim so he has now been declared the President of Fiji FA Referees Association.

“Suva lost out very badly because they did not have a proper contract for Joseph Mishra, Sedrick Dutt, Arvin Pratap and Joseph Mishra. We have repeatedly said that people should have proper contract and if they are not sure of anything they should consult Fiji FA.
