Bob Kumar, the Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) chief executive officer said a bumper crowd is expected to witness the second major tournament of the season.
“We are expecting around 35,000 people to cross the gates during the four days of the Inkk Mobile BOG. Everything is in place for yet another successful event. I can assure the fans that Nausori is ready to host this major tournament which was last played here in 2007,” Kumar said.
More than 7000 fans turned up at TFL National Stadium for the four, first round matches last Sunday.
“There is a lot of interest generating amongest the fans. Four matches saw some unpredictable results which will keep everyone guessing for the remaining matches. I would like to plead to the fans to enjoy the tournament but please be responsible and do not commit any unlawful acts which could get you into trouble,” Kumar said.
Tickets have already gone on sale at the Nausori Town Council office. The official programme starts at 4.30pm tomorrow.
Paul O Neile the director of Inkk Mobile Fiji will be the chief guest at the opening which will be followed by the first match between Suva and Nadi at 5.30pm.
Meanwhile Ratu Cakobau Park has been given the green light to host the 2011 B.O.G. Grounds commitee chairman Yogeshwar Singh confirmed.
