Learn the laws says Segran

He made the comments as the Ba side went down 0-4 against Waitakere United during the 2011-2012 O-League last Sunday at Fred Taylor Park in New Zealand.
After a goal less first spell, Ba was reduced to 10-man as Marika Madigi was given the marching orders for a serious foul play.
Earlier this season our national Under 17, U20 and senior side also faced a similar situation at a crucial stage of the game.
Segran believes our teams will continue to struggle at the international stage if we turn a blind eye towards this issue.
“I believe coaches play the most important role in this situation. Coaches need to attend referee courses and seminars to familirise themselves more with the vast changing of the laws and its interpretation. Coaches will then be able to go back and inform the players of what is required. Players also can take the initiative and be part of the courses,” Segran said.
“Ba was deprived of a win last Sunday. Being a man down the Ba side lost composure and Waitakere took full advantage.”
The Fiji FA referees director said various referees courses will be held around the country in the coming months and urges all to take advantage.
