Dreketi, Seaqaqa claim Victories

Former national beach soccer rep Shalen Buisena scored just in an opening minute as Dreketi held on to that lead to edge Skippy Nadogo 1-0.
In the second match of the evening two goals in the first half by Aisala Kina and Sakeasi Nadroge was enough for Seaqaqa to claim an important 2-0 victory over BIC Taveuni.
The three days Northern playoffs will conclude this Sunday.
On the other hand the friendly match scheduled for Saturday 3.30pm between Labasa and Savusavu which was to coincide with the Northern playoffs has been called off.
“Six of Labasa’s players are occupied with the national team so looking at the situation and their request we decided to call it off,”Acting Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) Sheik Mohammed Ibrahim said.
He also confirmed that entry for the fans at the three day Northern playoffs will be free.
“Fiji FA is promoting Premier division playoffs and this gives the northern fans a chance to come out and watch this division has to offer. I would like to encourage people in the North to come out in numbers and support us,” Ibrahim said.
Competition continues on Saturday. The winner of the Northern playoffs will play against the Viti Levu champion to determine the top contender for the promotion/relegations series.
