Anil steps in as Fiji FA acting President

Bob Kumar the Fiji FA Chief Executive Officer confirmed. He says Sharma who serves the Fiji FA board of control as a vice president will act in the role until the return of Dr. Sahu Khan or Dr Hari Kewal.
“In the absence of Fiji FA President Dr. Sahu Khan and senior vice president Dr. Hari Kewal who both are away overseas, Anil Sharma has been given the role of the acting Fiji FA President until further notice,” Kumar said.
“It is important that someone takes charge particularly with the Vodafone Fiji FACT and the planning of the international matches that are coming up in late June to early August.”
Sharma says he is honoured with the appointment and keen to continue with the Fiji FA tasks and objectives mapped out for the year.
“It is a proud moment for me,” Sharma said.
“I would like to thank Fiji FA for having the faith and confidence in me. In the absence of Dr. Sahu Khan no doubt I will be carrying on with his legacy and plans for the year.”
The Navua Football Association president was recently appointed the National Team Director.
His immediate role is to spearhead the national men’s and women’s team campaign at the Pacific Games in New Caledonia.
