“At this stage the league has become very interesting as it is not a one way race. The top six sides all stand a good chance to win the 2012 Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League and this should make things interesting,” Ibrahim said.
“The recent natural disasters affected the matches but the fans are gaining interest again and we should see good crowds in the upcoming matches.”
Ibrahim said he was pleased with the Under -21 league.
“I’m pleased to say that the U21 league is well in progress. Matches are played every week and no doubt the young players are being getting a lot of exposure. I only urge the parents to come and support their children and lets work together to make this programme a successful one,” Ibrahim said.

The Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League continues this weekend as giants Lautoka and 4R Electrical Ba side clash in the match of the round this Sunday 3pm at Churchill Park.
Lautoka has an opportunity to top the standings and go ahead of leaders Suva. Ba on the other hand having played only two matches in the league so far will not want to spoil their momentum heading into the Vodafone Fiji FACT.
Ba and Tavua will be in action twice this round. Both clash against each other 7pm at Govind Park in Ba on Friday night.
No matches will be played on Saturday but on Sunday three Super premier division matches have been scheduled.
Tavua will host Nadi at Garvey Park and Navua and Nadroga at Thomson Park. Both these matches will kick off 3pm.
The Fiji Sun/GP Batteries Premier Division football league continues on Sunday as Tailevu Naitasiri play their first league match of the season at Buckhurst Park against Tailevu North.
After a convincing victory over Nalawa , Vatukoula will look to continue their form when they host Rakiraki.
Ba, Tavua, Lautoka, Nadi, Tailevu Naitasiri, Tailevu North, Rakiraki and Vatukoula, Under 21 sides will be in action and play prior to their respective senior district team match.
