Fiji FA acting president Sheik Ibrahim said this was an historic moment for our national football body.
He said Kumar who also this year officiated at the FIFA Under 20 World Cup in Colombia.
“It is indeed a very proud moment for Fiji FA and the country. Everyone should be pleased with this achievement. Ravinesh Kumar has been in the limelight recently coming back from the FIFA U20 World Cup, FIFA 2014 World Cup OFC stage one qualifiers in Samoa and now in Japan for the FIFA Club World Cup,” Ibrahim said.
“Ravinesh Kumar has proven himself and new doors are opening up for him. My best wishes are with him and hope that he continues to create more history. This achievement should be a clear sign of the quality of referees we have and a motivating factor to other referees especially the young ones to follow in the same footsteps.”
