Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) Board of Control (BOC) member and Rakiraki President Umesh Prasad believes there is a need to iron out the weakness before entering the 2010 Courts Inter District Championship (IDC)which will be held at Govind Park this October.
Rakiraki lost 2-0 to Viva Safeway Plumbing Ltd Tailevu Naitasiri (TN) last Sunday at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori. Despite winning the first leg 1-0 Rakiraki were knocked out on goal differential.
“TN was a better side and they had full confidence to play this game. We made a lot of mistakes and that is why the goals were scored against us. Rakiraki had equal number of chances to score goals but luck was on TN’s side.
“We are now looking forward to the Courts IDC where we will try to improve. Firstly I will need a report from the team management as to why we could not succeed against TN,” Prasad said.
