Labasa office opens

The new office is located in Ritova Street, Labasa with the purpose of assisting Fiji FA Vanua Levu based affiliates.
Dr. Hari Kewal the Fiji FA senior vice-president was the chief guest at the opening with Northern vice-presidents Sheik Ibrahim and Dewan Chand were also present.
Dr. Kewal said Fiji FA was dedicated to work in the interest of football.
“Fiji FA has a vision and will continue to work in the interest of football in Fiji. This new office in Labasa will help the Northern-based teams and the general public rather than them coming all the way to the headquarters in Suva. Fiji FA president Dr. Muhammed Shams-UD-Dean Sahu Khan has been very supportive which has seen this new initiative develop,” he said.
Northern Fiji FA vice president Shiek Ibrahim echoed similar sentiments.
“This is a major boost for the Northern division. We have a center now which will deal with football affairs here in the North. The office will be an easy excess for the officials and teams here. We will easily be able to assist them in various ways,” Ibrahim said.
On the other hand football development in the North received a new leash of life as Fiji FA has also handed over a vehicle.
Ibrahim says the vehicle will assist their development officer Hussain Sahib to travel around to conduct various football development programmes.
Saiyad Ali the Fiji FA technical director was also present in Labasa last Saturday and delivered a presentation on their four year strategic/development plan.
