Club football a must

He made these comments as the 2012 Kriz Signs National Club Championship concluded at Govind Park in Ba last Sunday.
The Fiji FA president believes that club football is the ideal stage to develop football in the country.
“We will be taking harsh stands on districts that are not having club competitions and those districts might even miss on tournaments next year,” Patel said.
“Club football needs to stay alive in Fiji for the development of football as this is where the pool of players are developed.”
District associations namely Labasa, Rewa, Savusavu, Nadroga and Tavua were not part of the 2012 Kriz Signs National Club championship this year.
Patel also praised new sponsor Kriz Signs for their kind gesture.
“I would like to thank sponsors Kriz Signs for coming on board to sponsor this annual club event. This is the stage for many players to showcase their talents and our sponsors
have agreed to work with us to see this event get bigger and better next year.”
In an all Ba clubs final 4R Electric defeated GM United 3-1 to regain the prestigious NCC title which they held in 2010.
