Vulivuli off to Germany

And Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) referees director Chandra Segran says this was a proud moment for both Vulivuli and the country.
“She is going to the senior FIFA Women’s World Cup,” he said.
“She has proved herself both locally and internationally. Finau has officiated in Oceania and FIFA events like the Under-17 Women’s World Cup and Algarve Cup. It is a proud moment for Fiji FA and the country as one of our own is going to such a major event.”
A soft spoken Vulivuli was officiating at the Vodafone Fiji FACT tournament at Churchill Park which concluded on Monday.
She was also joined by Tonga based Lata Tuifutuna who will be part of the Savusavu school teacher’s trio in Germany.
“I would like to thank Fiji FA and Oceania Football Confederation (OFC). The Fiji FACT was a good opportunity for me and Lata who is part of our trio to officiate here before we depart for the Women’s World Cup,” Vulivuli said.
“It is an honour to represent Fiji in Germany. I have officiated at events like the Algarve Cup in Portugal but this one will be the big one. Top teams like Brazil, England and USA will be participating. I’m looking forward to this opportunity I have been given.”
The 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be held June 26 to July 17. New Zealand will be representing the Oceania region.
