Technical Department Update

D LICENCE PART 1 COACHING COURSE – NORTH VISIT
9TH TO 17TH AUGUST, 2012
A total of 90 coaches attended the D License Part 1 Coaching Course in the north during the Technical Department visit.
This D License Part 1 Coaching Course is for primary schools teachers.
We the Technical Department manage to spread these D License Part 1 Coaching courses to all the 7 districts in the Northern division.(Labasa, Nadogo,Seaqaqa, Dreketi, Bua, Taveuni and Savusavu)
This coaching course will cover the age- of 6-12 years. It is more organized since children will be trained by certified coaches. This Grassroots program need qualified coaches because it covers the basic technique of football whereas it will be with the kids for the rest of their lifetime.
It was very interesting to know that for the past coaching course was done in the Northonly.Courses were happening in Labasa whereas the other districtwere left unattended. For the first time the basic coaching of football has been conducted in all the seven (7) districts in the North.

3. Training content – Aged 6 – Under 12
4. Teaching Approach – 1. Preparing the session 2. Organizing the session 3. Motivating the session 4. Conclude the session
5. The organization of tournaments and festival
6. Grassroots Football session 1. Objectives 2.Exercises
7. Small Sided Games
8. Basic Techniques – Passing, Running with the ball, Dribbling, Shooting, Controlling, Heading, and Goalkeeping
PLAY is the great joy of childhood football; it is through play that children can be themselves. PLAY activities are a proven means of developing various aspects of physical, emotional and mental behavior.
Grassroots football presents the two basic concepts of football: cooperation and opposition.
Grassroots football is an excellent means of physical, motor, psychomotor, mental and social training.
Grassroots football offer youngsters aged 6-12 the opportunity to play football without restriction and guide the most talented towards performance football.
