Tough ask for Ba

But Kumar said there cannot be any excuse as they prepare for the first of the three major tournaments.
“Recently Ba has been playing all 90 minutes matches in the O-League, Champions and National Football League. The players have adapted to 90 minutes and after playing Lautoka last Sunday we now have to go back and just have few days to prepare for 60 minutes football,” Kumar said.
“There is a vast difference between 90 and 60 minutes football but at the end of the day all other teams will be playing 60 minutes and there cannot be any excuses. Past Ba sides have won many 60 minutes tournament but that time they did not have a competition like the O-League.”
Kumar said they have set their sights on winning the 2012 Vodafone Fiji FACT title especially for their fans that had been affected by the recent massive natural disasters.
“We want to win the Fiji FACT for our loving fans that have been affected by the recent disasters. A win no doubt will bring sunshine and smile in their lives.”
After a hard fought 2-1 victory over Lautoka last Sunday during the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League Ba will be looking forward to a positive result against Navua this Sunday.
Ba is pool one with Labasa, Nadroga, Navua and Tavua. On paper the Ba side is set to be the top qualifier from this pool but sides like Nadroga and Tavua are sure to make Ba work hard.
Ba is the most successful team in the Fiji FACT having won it in 1991, 1997, 1998, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2010.
