The duo includes Solomon Islands National Futsal side members, Captain Elliot Ragomo and Robert Laua.
Fiji Football Association Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bob Kumar confirmed that the duo have been registered in the Navua side for the National Football League (NFL). But the CEO added that they will be allowed to take the field only on presentation of their International Transfer Certificates (ITC).
“I can confirm that Elliot and Robert from the Solomon Islands have been registered in the NFL. The above stated players were registered three prior days from the match but will be allowed to play only if they have their ITC’s,” Kumar said.
Navua Football boss Anil Sharma says the aim to field the duo in their NFL encounter was to test if they would fit in their side for the 2010 Courts Inter District Championship.
“We are bringing in this player just to trial them in the NFL. If they fit in well then we may consider them for the 2010 Courts IDC,” Sharma said.
In the other match played tonight, Weet-Bix Shop N Save Lautoka will play their final match of this years NFL against Sunquick Sigatoka Motor Spares Nadroga. The match will be played 7.30pm at Churchill Park.
