Roy cleared for Labasa

Labasa President Ajesh Sharma confirmed that Krishna will rejoin his New Zealand based Waitakere side next week.
“I can confirm that Roy will be available this weekend for Labasa. We are in the running and the inclusion of Roy is a major boost for us.” Sharma said.
Labasa only needs a draw against Rewa this Saturday to book a semi final spot while the defending champion will be out for nothing less than a victory.
Waitakere United is preparing for the start of their new season. Their chairman Rex Dawkins says they do not see a problem in Krishna extending his stay.
He added that the Labasa striker will only miss a charity shield match against Auckland City this weekend.
“I have had a request from Labasa requesting Roy to stay over this weekend. Under the circumstances when the weather played havoc last weekend and semi and finals were postponed till this weekend I decided to approve the request from Labasa,” Dawkins said.
“Our team is very similar to last season and Roy will slot back in without any change of shape to our playing pattern. Also two more games will see Roy back to peak fitness for the ASB Premiership opener on October 22nd against Hawke’s Bay. Roy will miss the Charity Shield game against Auckland City this coming weekend and arrive back in NZ on Wednesday the 19th October.”
