Coach Gurjit Singh, hopes Tamanisau who lead the Rewa side to five conestive title victories will leave no stones unturned in our bid to win gold at the Pacific Games.
“Simione Tamanisau is a very experienced player and carries a lot of qualities which would be an asset for any side. He recently successfully led the Rewa side to many triumphs in the local scene and we will be hoping that he brings on board the same success,” Singh said.
“Roy on the other hand has played top international competition in New Zealand. He knows what to expect.”
Tamanisau along with national reps Malakai Tiwa, Tuimasi Manuca, Alvin Singh and Pita Bolaitoga featured for the
Papua New Guinea based Hekari United side at the 2010 FIFA Club World.
Both the national men’s and women’s side fly out to New Caledonia this morning.
