Message by Fiji Football Association President
Rajesh Patel

Greetings to all
It is with great pleasure to welcome back the annual Fiji Football Association Awards which over the years has been a means to honour the achievements of our players and officials in football.
Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) being the national body of the sport in the country has set its sights on seeing Fiji compete with the best football countries and the hard work put in by the various stakeholders is assisting in our progress and I’m sure one day we will achieve our goal.
The journey the top is long, far and a difficult one indeed but looking at the nominee and their achievements one must be satisfied that we are on the right track.
Fiji FA failed to hold the Awards for the 2010 season last year. We failed to secure a sponsor, on behalf of the my board of control members, Fiji FA staff, volunteers etc, I would like to apologise to the general public and most importantly the players/officials who deserved to be recognized.
Since taking over in October last year, the new Fiji FA regime firstly wants to set things right and our immediate goal was to revive this prestigious awards function.
A big vinaka vakalevu to OneWorld Flight Centre, they have joined hands with Fiji FA and made the revival possible.
Like last year Fiji FA was once again in need for a sponsor for this prestigious event and OneWorld Flight Centre forwarded a helping hand. Fiji FA’s good wishes are with them and we hope this relationship will continue for the many more years to come.
With these words I urge the winners at this year’s awards not to stop just yet but strive for more excellence to see football in Fiji reach greater heights. To the nominees who have missed out this year not be saddened as this is not the end of the road and there is many more incentives along the way.
Thank You.
GOD BLESS ALL.

It is indeed a pleasure to be part of the OneWorld Flight Centre Fiji Football Association Awards for the 2011 season.
On this note I would like to congratulate Fiji Football Association President Mr. Rajesh Patel for the wonderful work he has done so far since taking over last year.
This is not the first time that OneWorld Flight Centre has engaged itself with football as many might know that we have supported the district association of Tailevu Naitasiri in the past occasions.
Beautiful game of football unites people and is a great nation building tool. For a company like OneWorld Flight Centre this is an opportunity to market our brand and at the same time help Fiji Football in rewarding the hardworking people for the achievements last year.
When approached by Fiji Football Association OneWorld Flight Centre did not hesitate a bit in lending a helping hand as we strongly believe that it is award functions like this which is one way to encourage and promote the growth of football in Fiji
OneWorld Flight Centre is proud to have joined hands with Fiji Football Association.
At the end of the day our aim is to gain maximum mileage and at the same to help Fiji Football Association hold this prestigious event successfully.
OneWorld Flight Centre fully backs the various sports in the country and we hope to see our national sides excel at the international stage.
We want to one day and look back and proudly say that OneWorld Flight Centre was part of this success.
