The weekly competition started earlier this season and was played over six weeks while 15 schools participated.
The Sawani based school maintained their success in their zone as they also had won the inaugural U12 league held last year.
The side is coached by Parmesh Karan and he was assisted by Ajesh Latchaiya.
Karan said the determination from his players, combined with the support of the parents, teachers and school management indeed proved to be a successful formula.
“The victory was a major achievement for our side,” he said.
“The efforts put in by the various parents, teachers and school management must not go unnoticed. Players in this team are from Classes 6 to 8 and this is indeed a proud moment for the school.”
“During the league our side scored six goals and conceded none. This league has brought about soccer development in the school and in the surrounding areas. We all are thankful to the parents of the players, the head teacher, the other staffs and the management of the school. Most importantly the coaches express their gratitude to the development officers of Fiji FA Just Play Programme Manager Yasir Janiff, Mohammed Rafiq and Ravindra Singh,” Karan said.
His final thought was that this event should be played annually.
