In their build up to the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) U20 playoffs the squad over the weeks has been playing warm up matches against the local sides and later this month will battle Amicale FC of Vanuatu.
Fiji national Under 20 coaching member Imdad Ali said the preparation was going well and the team.
“The team is covering the hard yards and we are also playing warm up matches against teams and so far we have played Ba, Tavua,Lautoka and we will also be playing Amicale FC.
This will help us to build up our combination and set plays before going into the playoffs,” Ali said.
Ali said the outcome of the warm up matches were not of concern.
“The result in the match against Amicale would not matter as long as the players get experience and game time playing warm up matches. No non sense coach Ali added.
The OFC Under 20 playoffs will be held from 21-28 of this month at Churchill Park.
The final round on March 29 will be held at Govind Park.
