It was none other than former national Esava Naqeleca who opened the scoring for the whites just in the second minute of play. Vanuatu international Joseph Nimariau followed 11 minutes later as Nadi found themselves down two goals.
The Lambert Sarju coached Nadi searched for the equalizer throughout but were unsuccessful in their effort.
A positive start for Suva sees them claim three points.
Suva now plays Nadroga 4pm tomorrow and a victory might increase their chances of a semifinal berth.
Nadi on the other hand plays the last match of day two 8pm against host Lautoka.
