Fiji Football Association chief executive officer Bob Kumar says the matches will be now be played at a later date.
“We have postponed the last round of the Pillay Garments Champions League which was to be held Friday at Churchill Park. This is to mark respect to the passing away of the Turaga Na Tui Vuda Ratu Josefa Iloilo Uluivuda. No matches will be played this weekend in the Lautoka and Ba area.
“Lautoka and Ba are expected to travel to NZ next week to participate in the Fiji Cup so the dates for the last round of Champions League will be announced later,” Kumar said.
Meanwhile the Pillay Garments Champions League match between Navua and Lautoka will go ahead as scheduled 5pm at TFL National Stadium on Wednesday in Suva.
Navua face Lautoka tonight
The postponed 2011 Pillay Garments Champions League match between Navua and Lautoka takes place on Wednesday afternoon 5pm at TFL National Stadium in Suva.
Navua currently lies in third place with six points following wins over Rewa 1-0 and Lautoka 1-0. The southern based side faces a wounded Lautoka who are coming of losses in their last three matches.
Rewa and Ba currently share top spot in the Pillay Garments Champions League standings with eight points each.
