National senior men’s squad has been on their toes preparing for the two match series under the watchful eyes of team director Anil Sharma.
Bob Kumar, the Fiji Football Chief Executive Officer said Vanuatu will arrive in the country on July 12.
“We have received their itinerary. Vanuatu arrives in Fiji on July 12 and travels the following day to Labasa. They played the second match on July 15 at Churchill Park before flying back home on the 16th,” he said.
Sharma on the other hand said it was a good chance for fans in the North to witness some top class action.
“Vanuatu is bringing in a very good side and our national side at the same time will not lack of quality players. I urge the Northern fans to come out in numbers and support the national side as we are playing for the country.
“The boys have been training well and showed good attitude. All this is part of our preparation for the 2011 Pacific
Games in New Caledonia and this is a good chance to gauge the players,” Sharma said.
