Hopes still alive in Ba

This comes after the Fijian champions picked up a close 1-0 victory over New Caledonia based AS Mont-Dore club during match day four of the O-League last Saturday while group leaders Waitakere lost 3-0 to Tefana.
Ba now faces a must win situation in their remaining two outings if they are to stay in the hunt for a berth in the O-League final.
The traditional giants of Fiji soccer host their next two matches at Govind Park in Ba.
On March 4, , 2012 Ba hosts Waitakere 3pm and AS Tefana in their last match towards the end of the month.
After match day four Waitakere remains on top with nine points as Ba are third with six points.
Ba also needs to gain a good goal margin as it could come in handy at the end of the round robin.
Returning star Osea Vakatalesau made a timely return to the O-League as he successful slotted a penalty kick for a close 1-0 victory over AS Mont Dore.
Despite missing three key players with the likes of Avinesh Suwamy, Isimeli Naresia and Malakai Tiwa through suspension Ba produced a determined effort.
“We were only able to do a few days of training before coming here because Ba has been one of the area’s most badly affected by the flooding,” coach Yogendra Dutt said.
“We would like to dedicate this win to the people of Fiji and especially Ba, it is a gift that we hope will bring sunshine into their lives during this difficult time. We have two more games to play and we hope the weather will be fine when we return home so we can prepare better.”
