Their media liaison officer Yogeshwar Singh clarified that Qaqa was only dropped from the squad and not suspended.
“Kelepi Qaqa is back with the Rewa squad. He was just dropped from the squad and not suspended. He is a very experienced player and no doubt will add strength,” Singh said.
He says Rewa is ready to defend their Vodafone Fiji FACT title. The Delta Tigers beat Labasa 1-0 to win their first ever FACT title last season at Churchill Park.
“The squad has been preparing well and we are looking forward to a positive outing. Every participating team is preparing to win the Fiji FACT and Rewa is doing the same in a bid to retain the title.”
“Rewa is at full strength and we should do well. In the end we just have to see what the outcome will be.”
Rewa faces a wounded Lautoka side this Sunday which lost 1-2 to Ba in the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League at home last Sunday.
Singh believes it will be a uphill battle but the Delta Tigers will be ready for the challenge.
