Anil Sharma, the Fiji FA vice president and national team director acted in the role of Fiji FA president in absence of Dr. Muhammed Shams-UD-Dean Sahu Khan and Dr. Kewal.
Bob Kumar, the Fiji FA chief executive officer confirmed the move.
“I can confirm that Dr. Kewal has stepped in the role of acting Fiji FA president. Dr. Sahu Khan and Dr. Kewal were away overseas and Anil acted in the role in their absence,” Kumar said.
“With Dr. Kewal back from overseas, it is only fitting that he takes over the role as he is the senior vice –president.”
The Fiji FA CEO said Dr. Kewal will act in the role until further notice.
Fiji FA president Dr. Sahu Khan is still away in overseas.
